The Ricky Kirton Memorial Scholarship Fund - Revolutionizing World Aid

Our mission is to fund continuing education that will ultimately lead to significantly changing lives for both the animal and human populations.

We have several goals surrounding our mission, however, our ultimate goal is to honor Ricky’s memory through providing students with the opportunity to major in the degree programs he could not. Nonetheless, as mentioned above, our mission is two-fold.

Although our methods may seem unconventional, we stand firmly behind our efforts and the support of our donors. We are thinking outside of the box when it comes to making a difference in the world. We see the issues the world is facing and have decided to take them on from a slightly different starting point – intervention through students-to-professionals.

The students we support will go on to become trail-blazing professionals in the field of veterinary science. They will effectively make their mark through dedicated time, research and practice to make the lives of animals far and wide that much better. Even animals relegated to farming activities deserve a humane quality of life.

Other students will go on to make a large footprint in mitigating the hunger crisis we are all facing. Although this is the worldwide issue, in the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas, one in three families struggle with food insecurity. The problem has officially hit close to home. Putting fresh minds in the field of culinary arts will plant fresh ideas on how we can make an impact and feed our neighbors.
